DescriptionI really enjoyed TGC, Frank Miller and Rafael Grampá's anti-fascist, anti-media story with the next generation of heroes. They were able to tap into the emotions of the moment and the art is magnificent. The Carrie Kelly pages were my favorites and this page in particular blew my mind when it came out. I loved the homage to the 16 panel DKR grid, the slick graphic design and the tempo of the panels. 3.. 2.. 1..Social/Sharing |

Neck breaking fast transitioning pace. A play of time on the static page.

I love this page and how Grampa is playing with the lighting and silhouettes. I agree that the hand lettered sound effects are a treat. Congrats!

BLAM! Blood. (I LOVE that panel) Could this page be any more in Miller's style? Grampá did a fantastic job here. Masterful visual storytelling. Big congrats!

Man, there is a lot to like about this page! Strong Miller/DKR references, of course, but I also love the hints of Munoz, Spiegelman, and a bunch of other '80s artists who were pushing the form, at least to my eye. So much movement and action on the page despite the fact that it's all hard B&W closeups and strong graphic shapes.

Didn't read the book beyond #1, but a great compliment to the Miller sound effects page
