DescriptionNot much to say on this piece. I was completely unaware of Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez before I started watching youtube shows about Original Art last year and heard a lot of praise for him (from his fellow Artists).Even if I'm not a huge DC fan, I stumbled onto a 2 page sequence from this JLA series and could really see that I needed to get some of that quality work in my collection. Even though there is no high flying action, this is just as you would imagine a busy restaurant's back of house would look like in the big city. The interaction of the people with these environments are one of Garcia-Lopez's strengths to add realism to our fantastical heroes.

Because he was not on my radar I'm unlikely to get dozens of pages of his work, but these two pages ticked a lot of boxes for me in terms of examples of his talent: Storytelling, good establishing shots with other panels being character centric, some good close-up faces, some great full body shots showing - in the moment - emotional mindsets of characters and a cool superhero flying off shot.
