Thorne's art leaves an impression that lasts. His stories set apart from the superhero genre allows him to focus on naturalistic and rustic settings that a normal person can relate to. The stories often tell about the nature of man and how the ways of the wild west shaped these characters and their circumstance in life.
I read that run this year and it was excellent. Thorne's art & storytelling is always a delight.
