This piece is representative of 1994 vintage too. Brush work is a bit more casual, wider strokes than usual, but not too much, it still keeps the sharp ending of strokes. There are some hints to contemporary Manga Kami no Ude. The armour reminds that of Kazumi. Some hints of his admired Frazetta and his Death Dealer series. It's remarkable how the faded soldiers in the background and the slight references to rocks help to make the illustration sit in.
Pay attention to the horse, done in shadows and with strong brush strokes.
Chinese ink and fine brush, as 99% of Brocal Remohi work. Even if it's under the "pen and ink" category, but there's no "brush and ink" one. Can you hear me, COMICARTFANS stuff? ;-)
Sive is roughly 30x50cm, or 12"x20", being the draught area a bit smaller as you see.
