DescriptionMy last piece from the Felix convention 2021 was picked up a few months ago through Graphic Collectibles. I visited another attendee at his home. He is a big fan of Mitch Itkowiz and the good old days so I decided to bring this along with my other pickups to have a discussion on all things currently happening in comic art. Claim shows, auctions, website drops, new and old artists, new and old dealers, etc. We discussed this piece too. It was displayed during the early Comicart-L days in the Howard Lowery Gallery of Garry Battmer. I got it because I remembered that and decided it needed to find a home on CAF as well.Social/Sharing |

This page also has that naiive look that Supergirl carried around in the early days.
Too bad she calls out someone else's name when she's excited...

I'm trying to decide if I'm more surprised that you got the great Schaffenberger piece or that your subject even allowed you to take the picture.

Love the extra push in the chest. Reminds me of Power Girl at the Moy booth all those years past. Meeting a couple outcast boys at the Sports bar and grill. Lovely.

A great piece from when comics where a lot more fun and innocent. Even though I've never met him in person, I've seen a few pictures of him and I can tell even through the blurry DM webcam you used that you had an engaging conversation with the esteemed Mr. DLS!

The blur is because I borrowed the webcam from a prominent claim show host.

Lovely image. Schaffenberger was great on Supergirl, as he was on Mary Marvel (and Shazam in general). The daintily stretched feet give a floaty look to her flight. Thanks for sharing!

Really lame joke, but superb art ! And yes, Schaff's Kara is still unmatched in juvenle grace and beauty but also nobility and posing as a perfect example for Kryptonioan power (of course, Kurt trained hard in dozens of Lois Lane issues before drawing S-girl always so beautiful, mixing 1950s Pinup-Girly-style with early feminism and assertiveness :) )
