DescriptionUpdate Sept '22: It was a real wrench to let this one go - but a season racing in a motorsport team is reassuringly expensive and a sacrifice needed to be made. Sorry to see it go, but I'm so pleased it's going to the loving home of a true fan.I've wanted some original art from Killing Joke for some time, being one of the great 80s triumvirate (the other two being Watchmen and V). The inked pages are hard to come by though. So I was delighted to see this available, it's not from the main body of the work but from the cover of a magazine promoting KJ around the time of its release. I'm not sure which magazine, so if anyone can help with that I'd be interested to know.. In some ways I think Bolland's pencils are just as beautiful as his inks. It's quite large (for a BB prelim) about 50% bigger than most KJ ones I've seen. Social/Sharing |

Nice pick up, Geoff. The magazine was called Speakout. A freebie mag for Leeds Building Society.

Amazing, I'd go so far as to say better than many KJ published pages!

The pencils are exquisite for this and an image featuring both Batman and Joker is rarely made available.

Prelim feels like a misnomer for this piece, but that's often the case with Bolland. He seems to start with final lines, but that's why he's an all-world talent. A perfect Killing Joke Joker, and a super sweet Batman pose. This is so awesome. Big congrats!

Pencils are beautiful, exquisite and any other superlatives you want to use. This is amazing! I wasn't aware of this piece and am very thankful you decided to share on CAF. Thanks and congrats!

Really nice art, and to be related to Killing Joke even better!
