Star Reach Classics #2

Cover to the second issue from the reprint of the Star Reach and Quack comicbooks / mags.

I first bought this cover on ebay with the intention of selling it on our website lafrenchcollection.com but during an event we did in Paris I realized how much I loved that cover which almost got sold.
Quite relieved it is staying home... no seller regrets with this one !

Dick Giordano proves he is not just DC's major inker but a great cover artist !
All inkers are great artists to me but they rarely have the opportunities to prove their skills while tracing over another one's pencils.

Stephanie Starr is awesome on this cosmic display, particularly love the space city on the right !
Space sky effect is a stat and I believe it was the intention to preserve everything else which is hand drawn ( title, faces and scenery) from any inking spoilings.

I found scans of the cover with an overlay and without it (see additional images ) but on my page the overlay has been fixed to the art.

A true beauty from the 80's
