The Uncanny X-Men by Leroy Soesman

I have a long-abiding and deeply rooted love for the X-Men. However, because that title had been around for so long and the teams on it have changed so often, I'm sure every fan has *their* preferred line-up. No doubt linked to the time they started reading or when the stories made the most impact.

I started actively reading the X-Men a bit after this team configuration, but quickly managed to get back to where this was the Big 7 (with Cyclops, for whom I've never had any affinity and Xavier, natch, but who didn't seem to fit here).

Now, this particular rendering is by a guy none of you will be familiar with, and neither was I until I encountered his work in a FB-group. I was intrigued, we started discussing the work, first purely transactionally, but very quickly we became fast friends.

Still paid him what he was owed for this piece, though. Man's gotta eat.

This particular rendering was a big back-and-forth of members, composition, outfits, I would imagine as is the case any time one requests X-Men art.
