Description
Carlos Santana's biographical comic book written and drawn by Tim Truman.

"While writing the biography of one of his favorite guitarists, Carlos Santana, for Rock-It Comics, Truman found out that the musician had been a longtime fan of his comic, Scout, whose main character, Emanuel Santana, is the namesake of the famous guitarist. Naming the characters after favorite musicians was a common convention that Truman used throughout the Scout series." -Wikipedia

Looks like Truman interviewed him about his life before drawing it.  It strikes you with some powerful images when he talks about walking away from music and starting a family.  Very hopeful and optimistic with how he spent his life.

I must admit to having forgotten about this book.  But I'm glad you posted the cover to referesh my memory.  That's a beautiful page!  Love the great colors, and that likeness at the top is just fantastic.  Oye como va!

Wow, not including the material Sienkiewicz produced, I wasn't aware that anyone had published Rock comics aside from Rock & Roll Comics, much less with a very good, well known artist! Really cool, Rick!
