Description
First solo story of THE FALCON! This story was originally slated for Captain America #224, but Jim Shooter didn't want a Cap comic that didn't feature the main character, so it was pushed out a year and then published in Marvel Premiere #49. This is the end page to the story "Sound of the Silencer". Not sure what I like more, this end page or who's coming to the next issue #50 ---> ALICE COOPER!!!

That Alice Cooper issue was prett wild, great inks from Terry Austin.  But this Sal page isn't bad at all either.  Solid and characteritic work by Buscema and interesting inking from Simons, especially the tiny crosshatching in the backgrounds.  Nice pick-up!

Love it - great capper page!  "You aint' gonna have none for lonnng time" :)  And that's that.  And yes, next month... Alice Cooper!  Congrats!

Falcon said no more Mister Nice Guy.

The Count went to the church incognito
When everybody rose, the Redfeathered Falcon
He recognized him
And punched him in the nose

Following this story up with anything but the heavy metal mayhem of Alice Cooper would have been a let down.

Great page!  Love seeing the Falcon in action, and love how strong the Hunt inks are here; lots of ink on the page.  And the Alice Cooper reference is so fun--what a weird time for comic books!

Haymaker alert! Man, does anyone draw a punch better than Sal? And that inking by Simons! I dig that blackout ink fading to crosshatching in panel 3. This is a pairing I hadn't noticed before, but I'm going to look for now. I have some time, since school's out forever. (Literally, I'm an old dude) Big congrats!
