Description

Here is the original wax sculpt to the head of the Black Canary figure from the DC Direct line of action figures. The toy was released in 2005, as part of Alex Ross' Justice League.

I know when I say "comic art," most people rightly think of the art used to create the comic books themselves, but personally I've always included stuff like this as well. To me, this is unquestionably comic book artwork. It is a highly talented sculptor, creating a physical representation of a comic book character that we all love. To call this anything other than art is to overlook the kind of skill and time which went into bringing this to life.

Every Black Canary action figure from that line in the world was created from this one wax sculpture.
