Kerry and Ricardo Killed This Page!!!!
The faces, the anatomy figurework, and the action are like laying bricks to create a solid foundation for the magic of the story to unfold. Every panel looks so clean even with great details. The page connects with the audience with a mighty swing and helped build a lasting legacy of Gamill's artistry.
Nice! I think Cage got jealous of Colossus and Wolvie's fastball special and improvised with an unwilling partner!
Oh, that's a perfect Cage page! "I'll take this fool and use him to whip the other fools!" I pity 'em all! Congrats!
One of my earliest memories of comic books was from 1980 or 1981, when my neighbour gave me stack of comics. He wasn't a collector, he simply enjoyed buying them to read and would eventually throw them out. While that stack of comics didn't get me to start buying and reading comics, I did read them over and over. In the stack he gave me was PMIF #66, the 2nd appearance of Sabretooth and that was the one I read most. The art stood out to me even then. It was and still is incredibly good. The Villamonte inks were superb and to this day I also still like Gammill's PMIF run better than anything else he ever did. Regardless of Iron Fist's absence, this is still a superb page. Congrats on getting it!
Looks like that bad guy is finally...using his head.(I'm so sorry! It slipped out...) Gammill was such a clean artist, drafting elaborate and clear scenes. Byrne is a great comp, imo. Great backgrounds, and everything is rendered really well. The first and third panels are excellent examples of that. Very cool score. Congrats!
Truly beautiful work by one of the all-time best artists in Superhero comics !
