DescriptionA Gotham PD detective looking into the mystery of who killed Bruce Wayne's parents discovers a Batman on this page. Love that last panel as Batman steps out of the shadows.Although these Bat Books were ostensibly aimed at kids, they told great stories that furthered the Batman mythos like this one penned by Ty Templeton that answers the question of whatever happened to Joe Chill. Penciled by Rick Burchett who was so adept at adapting to the Timm style, this issue was the final issue from the third series of The Batman Adventures books. Social/Sharing |

That's a gem of a Batman page. Well known for his inking, Burchett is often overlooked as a penciller, where he excelled as a storyteller.

True, Jared, and he is also so adept at the Timm style, people forget that it's not how he really draws.
