Description

I don't normally buy unpublished pieces, but this one caught my eye on eBay a few years back.
Just love the colors and the various poses. And of course the three characters are near and dear to my heart.

Abd it's my first piece by artist/illustrator Carlos Eduardo Cunha. Definitely not my last.

Thanks for looking!

I STILL haven't seen the movie and I'm still stunned that you of all people weren't a fan of it! But that certainly helps in making me stay away from it. I may still see it someday, but for now I'd rather just look at this piece instead!

It has grown on me with repeat viewings.  I think there was something wrong with the theater screen I originally saw it on.  The picture was kinda blurry throughout, a bit like a 3D movie without the special glasses.  Or maybe I need stronger glasses.  Anyway, I do recommend that you see it.

That's what happened to me when I watched the DVD.  At first I thought it was defective, so I returned it for another copy.  Same blurry effect.  I even upgraded to Blu-ray and still the same.  I guess it was a desired effect.  In any case, this is a fantastic painting.  Completely agree about the colors, incredible!!!!!

Okay, I'll definitely get around to it. Though much like my reading material which has piled up and takes me years to get around to reading, so to am I behind on my watching. You'll be happy to know that last night I watched the first 5 episodes of The Flight Attendant, and tonight I'll watch the final three. Good stuff!

I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who was put off by the visuals.  I guess it was some kind of effect they were going for, but it was very distracting to me.  Thanks for the comment!

I'm impressed Paul, a non-published piece posting!  But it's a great one and can see why it hit all the right notes for you!

Nice mix of characters that were the heart of the film.  It's Miles' story that made it such a vibrant brew of new and old in a fresh take of the genre.

Great piece, no doubt. However little chubby Ham is missing. Just saying.

I can see why this caught your eye! THe artist is bold with colors and doesn't shy away from the vibrancy that is part and parcel of this film. Beauty.

Nice energy (in more ways than one!), and all the figures look great but Miles is definitely the featured one here.  I gotta get a commission or something featuring the movie version!  Great colors throughout, too, including the purplish interdimensional Krackle at the bottom right!  Congrats!

You had me at the Kolorful Kirby Krackle. Cunhaade me a fan with just that detail, the rest is gravy. I love how the colors and shapes used in the image are all meant to support and emphasize the geometry of the three Spideys. The windows, the sky, it all makes the image pop. And what a cool Spider verse image. Great pin-up. Congrats!
