DescriptionAnakin Skywalker convention sketch from 2010 by Matt Fillbach & Shawn Fillbach (Fillbach Brothers). This cool mixed media Anakin Skywalker convention sketch (pencil layout, inks, marker/watercolor touches) was given to me in a really cool care package/gift by one of my Star Wars art collecting friends here on CAF, the one and only Jeff Wedding! Jeff recently joined me on my YouTube channel to share knowledge/examples and background on Star Wars Animation art and I also showed the whole care package that he sent me on that video. If you missed that you can catch it HERE Jeff has quite the collection of Matt & Shawn Fillback sketches/pieces over at his gallery. Check them out. Thanks again man Social/Sharing |

Anytime Ruben. But I'm slow in getting my butt to the post office, so give me some lead time on the date. Ha!

Hah! Will do! Oh and in all seriousness, that was such a great Animation Art 101 course you gave us all on Kavi's Comic Books NYC channel. Such wonderful scholarship is always appreciated.

Matt and Shawn's line work can't fully be appreciated unless seen up close and in person. Just look at the cross-hatching in that left shuolder pad! And the pace they work at is incredible. Those sons of Montana are true quick-draw comboy artists.

I don’t think the system works, We need a show where the collectors sit down and discuss the artwork, agree on what’s in the best interest for all collectors, and then do it.
That’s exactly what we do.
The trouble is that people don’t always agree.
Well, they should be made to.

I love the Clone Wars animated series, but I have on occasion had a difficult time explaining to my kids that it's okay to cheer for Anakin even though he's going to become a ruthless murderer later on.
