Oh yes! Its getting hot in here! Phoenix splashes are always a must for us X-Men fans! Congrats on snagging yours! When that damn cosmic bird shines, its rare when its a good thing for either side of the fight. Lol
I remember loving the Phoenix saga X-Men cartoon adaptation just for that reason--the Phoenix played nice for a bit but once it got a taste of earthly delights it went full evil hedonist haha!
When the plan goes asunder, that Jean Grey has the magic get out of jail card! This is the past first class Jean, so this would be her first manifestation that comes earlier in her life than in the original timeline. This splash has more ramifications than just what is shown.
Bigtime. Gotta love loopy timeline narratives!
I enjoyed when the Phoenix eventually embodied not just Jean but the "Old" X-Men: Cyclops, Magneto, Emma, Colossus, Magik... some nice issues about them greedily wrenching power away from one another (A vs X series I believe? Sort of forgettable overall though...)
