Description
Battleworld: Secret Wars Journal # 1 pages 5 and 6
Pencil and ink by Luca Pizzari
Written by Matthew Rosenberg
Marvel Comics - 2015

All out, X-men and werewolf action in this double page spread. Some fun pacing with the arced layout and panel sizes.

This one took me back to a double page spread Gene Colan did in Marvel Comics Presents issue #106, which featured Wolverine and Nightcrawler.

This layout is laying all your cards on the table.  Pizzari brings trading card excitement to every panel with ideal images of action or portraits strung together serving the narrative.

Man, this is great.  Love the action scene storytelling, and that it's rough around the edges in terms of scratchy inks and that panel layout.  Perfect considering the content.  Big congrats!
