14x18.75" illustration board has oil painting original art for cover to Sergeant Preston Coloring Book, published by Whitman in 1953. Art is by noted comic book artist Russ Manning, noted for his creation Magnus, Robot Fighter as well as illustrating the Tarzan and Star Wars newspaper comic strips. Art depicts Sgt. Preston and his canine sidekick King. Some scattered paint flaking to hand-painted "Sergeant Preston" name, but o/w art remains clean and Exc.
