From Legend Of The Dark Knight 100. The amazing Dave Taylor. When I first picked this book up, I was amazed by the artwork. Reproduced from Dave's pencils, with encouragement from Archie Goodwin. While i love great inks, it would be hard to imagine this being improved on. The pencils lend a moody shadowed atmosphere to this noirish tale. The movement, figures, and surroundings are perfectly realized. Even though The Batman does not appear here, the page is filled with many beautiful bits. Young Dick Grayson overhears some ominous words.....
