Franz Wacik. Thanks to Daniel Zimmer for allowing me to identify the artist. He had a unique and beautiful style. Gauche. Thanks to Stephan Ettl, I have an update. Andersen's Fairy Tales, Part 2. Shown on page 60. Texts sighted by Hans Farngruber. Published by Gerlach & Wwiedling, Vienna and Liepzig. Title, "The Sleep God." The little boy is named, Hjalmar. the Sleep god visited him each night for a week. Thanks so much Stephan for forwarding me the detailed information about this piece.

Love the technique here- especially the textures created by the artist. Great lighting too and the image really creates intrigue with the chatacters and setting. Congrats!

Duke, thanks. Each time I study these, I discover something new. The artist, whoever he was, had a wonderful style. Very distinctive. I would love to know where these were used.
