Description

Martian Manhunter seems to have been a difficult property for DC to get a grasp on. It often seems like they want to re-define his origin or his actual appearance or somehow kill him.

Personally, my favorite series was the 1998 series written primarily by John Ostrander and illustrated by Tom Mandrake. This cover comes from the 2015 run illustrated by Eddy Barrows and Eber Ferreira (one of my favorite pair of artists).

You may notice J'onn's face looks a bit different... you'll notice the included the patch that was created to give him his more traditional look. The art was fully created by Dan Panosian; first digitally and then hand inked. What you see here is the ink work, which was the cover.
