Description
Published illustration by W.K. Starrett. This was for the story by S.J. Horton, "Winds of Romance." A young couple is serenaded by a harmonica player. This photo does not do the piece justice. It is too large for my scanner. Primarily pencils. The shading, in person, is wonderfully done. Very rich details. The aged board is now very fragile.

Great slice of life drawing depicting the proper courtship rituals of the times.  It is romantic because of the natural setting and the formal dress where hand holding may be in the offing.

Marcus, Alonging look into each other's eyes seems on the horizon. Certainly, a different era of courtship. Sorry the image is so shiny. The shades are very well done, when not glistening in my photo.
