The time is 150 years in the future.

The Phoenix Egg has hatched.

In this splash, Jean Grey/Phoenix returns to the Beast (taken over by the Sublime entity) after annihilating the Termids, a race of insects, at his request. Bumbleboy the X-Men's ambassador to the Termid multitude was also killed but she kept his essence in his skull to learn about the X-Men.

Signed by Marc Silvestri and Stan Lee [*before I purchased it].

"Here Comes Tomorrow" is the eighth and final story arc in Grant Morrison's run on the Marvel Comics series New X-Men, which ran from issues #151-154 (2004).

Silvestri's return to X-Men was very exciting with the paring of Grant Morrison's writing. It was a prestige event because Silvestri added the full gravitas of his artistry that has been sharpened through his years away and the Weems inks.

Those Silvestri issues were a nice bookend to Morrison's seminal run. Great example!
