My third Mike Perkins page ... this time in the Ink gallery ... although it could go into multiple ones. Although I love the last panel, what really drew me to this page was the first panel. The detail and shading the brownstones and the clothes give it an amazing feel.

The establishing scenery is drawn with a great eye and care of the brush and sets the tone of quality throughout the story. The ominous walk up the steps is always a dramatic and symbolic device showing raising tension in the story. The Floronic Man appearance is certainly a foreboding sign.

One of my favourite pages in the issue. I love the Brooklyn street scene establishing shot and the segue to the Woodrue subplot at bottom which I've really enjoyed but feel like it hasn't gotten much attention, even with all the fan and critical attention the story has gotten. I adore how truly wooden looking Woodrue appears to be and that is such a gorgeous closeup of him. The entire page is just beautiful and well balanced from top to bottom.
