DescriptionGuy Gardner: Warrior #31 p13 (1995) Rick Mays / Dan DavisWriter: Beau Smith I haven't read this series since it came out in the 90's but kind of remember thinking that it got interesting when Guy lost the power ring and became Warrior with a cool supporting cast. On this page Guy is restrained and tormented by images of his friends being tortured by Dementor but instead of it demoralizing Guy he's getting angry ... as nicely displayed in the bottom panels and especially that last one. Signed by Rick Mays in the upper margin and Dan Davis in the lower margin. Page is in overall very good condition but does show some wear from handling. The very tips of the corner edges are slightly rounded, and some have some small light creasing (really only evident on the back of the page and not affecting artwork area). Word balloons in the first three panels have some paste-on corrections. Use of blue pencil and red ink in the creative process. The images of Guy's team being tortured on the screens in the first panel are actually all on thick paste-ons, perhaps a thin laminate sheet of some sort. A very cool page and artwork from this series just doesn't seem to be out there. Social/Sharing |
