This type of work perfectly encapsulates Mignola, few others could do such a seemingly simple setup and have it scream their style. Major congrats

This Mignola art has walls.  Those walls have frames.  Those frames need art!
Mignola's vision is pure and concise showing the darkened study where busts, art, books and all manner of culture are collected.  It advances the higher purpose of collecting as to preserve and inform anyone visiting to the level of culture and personal tastes of the people of this home.

What a great piece!  Mignola animates this ostensibly static scene with hanging cobwebs (or crepe?) and rightward leaning frames and he even slants the walls & cabinets, but he balances it with the female bust and candle flame leaning the other way and anchors the whole image with the upholstered chair at the bottom.  It's an amazing and surprising composition to me, and it's unmistakably Mignola

Congrats on getting a Baltimore illustration.   This one reminds me of a wood cut print or linoleum print.  Great composition.

Congratz! I remember you saying on one of your YouTube shows, last year, that you hadn't gotten a Mignola yet it was an artist you always wanted but somehow hadn't gotten around to yet.  I took some comfort that being somewhat new I hadn't found an example either. Glad to see you scratch that Mignola itch!!!

This really is a beauty by Mignola. I feel like this piece wouldn't have the same weight to it if done by another artist.
