Description15.75" x 10.5" image area. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Detective Comics #679 Page 17 BATMAN AND THE BATSUBWAY ROCKET original art (DC 1994). Lee Weeks and Josef Rubinstein. One of only 15 times the amazing Batsubway Rocket appears in any Batman title! The Batsubway Rocket connects the Batcave to Gotham City's Subway system through the abandoned rail lines. Features include two pairs of jets on its back enabling it to reach speeds of up to 250 miles per hour, an anti-tracking device, automatic brakes which allow the driver to brake the vehicle in a matter of seconds, and a bi-directional gear and canopy, used to change directions when driving the rail tracks. Onboard equipment includes an on-board computer with an advanced navigation system able to deviate from other vehicles and control the underground transit system as well as a blast shield to prevent singeing from the burners and add aerodynamics to the rocket. You know, I think about that all the time, Disney acquiring DC. They would be wise to do so! If that would happen, you're right, this would be an INCREDIBLE ride!!!

I'd pay good money to ride that baby to work. Batsubway is the only way to travel. And I'm guessing this is a Dick Grayson stand-in page? Or Bats is using the third person shtick. Cool page by Weeks and Rubinstein. Congrats!

Yes, this is Grayson as Batman. I loved it for the Bathardware! :)
