Description

Being the Moon Knight and Philip Tan fan that I am, how could I pass this up?! I think this issue came out before I was collecting original art, but I distinctly remember loving the cover and wanting at least a couple copies (little did I know at the time that I could've just bought the artwork). Anyway, everything about this piece is simply gorgeous; Moon Knight and Kang both pop! And yes, to everyone who hasn't read a comic in recent years, the duo share a pretty convoluted history!

Cross hatching galore! Very effective in the way Moon Knight's cape blends in with the darkness and how Kang creates and holds the magical light source.

Wow Tan really brought it for this cover. The detail and energy as Moon Knight comes down on Kang - just dynamic.

And the award for most worlds conquered goes to...Kang! Kang vs Moon Knight? A weird, but perfect pairing, if you think about it. One guy with no powers, and only super advanced technology, vs another guy, with no technology, and powers given to them by a god. Nice balance there, imo. And the Tan/Rain combo looks excellent together. Great cover. Congrats!

One of Tan's better recent pieces, IMO! Absolutely love the lighting effect and details on Kang! Congrats, Simon!
