Description

SummerCon 2021. I met Al Milgrom and he's a genuinely nice guy who loves to talk and tell stories. I remember seeing his art as a kid growing up reading comics. He told me that he based his sketch here off of the cover he did for Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man #40. On that cover it's Peter Parker transforming into the Spider-Lizard!

The scaly classic look that was the house style through the 80's. Milgrom's art did have an influence on plenty of artists showing them storytelling through a single image.

I just love a classic Lizard look - this is 70's/80's nostalgia with scales, teeth and tongue. Great piece here!

Awesome! Loved Milgrom's work on Spec Spi and I can picture the cover this piece is homaging perfectly! Congrats!
