This Lady Death III Odyssey is very fun work by the late Steven Hughes and he will always be remembered for bringing a joy to his work. That little behind the curtain/page peek by the witch is him playing with the narrative while we get the rest as straightforward bad girl action against a dragon.
i love this. i adore pages of the intial attack in any book and since you have the follow up page as well. i am very curious on how you were able to find these? I'm in middle of putting together a LD gallery myself but Hughes pages are getting pretty rare these days, so congrats. i'm happy for you, i'm happy you are sharing these pages, and i am only a tad bit jealous. =)
