Doug Marcaida would be proud.
Doug would throw him out as he did not forge the metal on those claws himself.
I was referring to working with an injured arm but I can see your point.
I will probably BE hung up by fan boys for this but I have always thought Wolverine is one of the lamest X-Men as all you need to beat him is a large magnet to hold him prisoner. Not as lame as Angel but not far behind. KAARES ART IS LOVELY.
I have no idea who that it but thanks to the discussion between you and Peter I looked him up. I thought maybe you were talking about the drummer from Def Leppard based on the music kick and your intro-dimensional DJ abilities.
I think Doug could take on the drummer from Def Leppard even if he teamed up with magnetically weak, Wolverine. I would never argue with Doug. Hes lethal and hes real, unlike Wolverine. I liked the story Hugh Jackman told of his kid kicking him in the testicles because he thought Hugh really had Wolverines powers. Reality is painful. Kaare truly is a wonderful artist and this is a wonderful page. A wise choice.
I haven't read this story yet, but having seen this, I'm putting it at the top of my to-read list. Outstanding!
Honestly I STILL haven't read it but the pages i saw were stunning. Thanks for reminding me to correct this hugely egregious lack of action.
This is beautiful. The colors really set it off.
Definitely takes things to another level! But it's nice to see the underlying inks as well as its own thing.
badass!!! Kaare is underrated, love his work. congrats Eranga! I have Marvel Unlimited, need to check out more of these Infinity Comics thingies, haven't dove in yet much myself on that new format.
Thanks, Kavi! I read some of the earliest entries when they were offering it as an experimental thing. I'd be curious to see where they took these Infintiy Comics.
IT WEEL KEEL!!!!
Wolvie may not be making a one armed drummer, but he does know how to shred with the best of them. Pretty mayhem with a whirling claw attack made all the more epic by Andrews' method.
Andrews is such a dynamic artist that can do some many styles. Love the classic feel and the old school approach with the inks and color. It worked great!
Yeah man...he's definitely got that auteur feel and can be a bit of a chameleon with his style. I do love having a single artist pencil, ink and physically color his work before going off to print though!
This is fantastic, exactly what you would want in a Wolverine piece, I am even more excited for you that the page was done in color this really adds to the piece! So Wonderful! now I want to get the comic to see the rest of the story!
Thanks, Brian! I feel kinda sheepish that I haven't read the story yet...
This is incredible, love the watercolor and throw back to the Japense style.
Beautiful page, Eranga! I love Kaare's color work, and to see it featured here over this unfettered action... Yowza. It really feels like an 'Elektra Lives Again' page to me, with the role the color is playing here (and the particular snowy tones that are highlighting the action), and it just looks bonkers gorgeous. Congrats on the stellar pick up - this loooks GOOOOOOOOOOOD in your gallery, sir! :)
Damnnn bud, I freaken love this piece. Wolverine making Sashimi!
Wolvie got tired of chopping up ninjas, so now he is going after zombie ninjas? Honestly, at this point, I don't think the ninjas are the bad guys. Wolvie just won't leave them alone to do some ninjaing!
Yeah definitely...I think the ninjas deserve their own series deconstructing the actual bully here. Like a Cobra Kai with Wolvie as Daniel Larusso.
Kaare can do everything artistically, literally. But my favorite is when he does his own stylized take on the traditional cartoony comic book look, like here! Got both a splashy shot AND some storytelling panels up top - fave types of pieces for me. And both the inks and colors?! Yessir! Congrats, man!
Thanks, bud! I really dig that he did his own color work here rather than have color proofs by a separate colorist. I'd kinda love to have more stuff like this from other creators.
