Description

“Red Glove” by artist Robert Blue original painting created in 1997. Large Oil on Masonite. Image area 31" x 20" . I will also post the final pencil sketch.

These pieces are special to me as Robert sadly passed away less than just one year later. Blue succumbed to brain cancer in January of 1998.

While sick at the time with brain cancer, Robert continued to create what incredible masterpieces he was able. This is an example of one of his last paintings. For those of you know Blue's work...Take note, his signature is spelled out for the world unlike most of his paintings in the 80s and 90s that show a simple scribble, maybe he realized he might be forgotten. The real gold entwined in her golden hair is a signature of a true Blue.

I love his work, will buy his work and have some to sell.

This lady has me in the palm of her hand and I'm going to follow that hair wherever it leads. A classic beauty that has a story behind her baby blues waiting to be unwrapped.
