John was awesome to work with and I'd highly recommend picking up a commission from him!

From John's social media;
Recent Spirit commission. Had a lot of fun with this one for a couple of reasons.
1. I LOVE this character.
2. I decided to reproduce a Spirit drawing I did many moons ago just as I was getting started in comics. I had the honor of meeting, sitting down and chatting with the great Will Eisner outside the Eisner Awards at SDCC in 2004. It was less than a year before he would pass away. While we chatted I showed him a drawing I had done of The Spirit in a pool hall knocking around some thugs. He complimented me on my line work (I think he was just being kind in his old age) and was gracious enough to sign the art for me. I cherish that piece to this day, even though I can't stand to look at my art on it. It's clearly amateurish at best and I've been curious to see how I would tackle the same theme today. This commission gave me that opportunity.
