I don't think I ever realized how different the ships look in panel 2 and 3. You can really see how panel 3 matches the original ship when the stat is removed.

I thought you titled the page incorrectly because that first panel is so obviously John Carter haha. I remember hearing about this from Claremont years ago and wish I remembered more details about what he told me but I remember he seemed very proud that he was able to reinvent the storyline. 

No pun intended but the inking on this page is stirking. 

That was such a weird book but it's very neat to see the pencils on this!

I assumed you would have known what this exact page was before even clicking the picture haha 

This is such a cool piece of art. Hard to believe legendary artists need to ask for work but that's how it always is I suppose. 

To me this was when Waid was at his absolute best! Your art made the writing even better of course!  

I love the perspective on this page, great pick up! 

The rain effect is very mesmerizing! The change from white to black as it comes across Batman looks very difficult to pull off.
