early KABUKI origin concept art (1993) by David Mack - 1 year prior to her 1st appearance first in Fear the Reaper (1994)

Checkout this cool early drawing of a "Kabuki" universe character.

David drew this when he was a 19 year old for a class art assignment. His teacher gave him an "A" for this (see 1st additional posted image of the back of this page).

David shared insights with me via Facebook message. (see posted images)
He said he wasn't sure if it was Kabuki specifically, but he did see her origin in the mask he drew on this page.

You can see the similarities on this early concept art to the Kabuki character:
*White mask with Red Dot, red lips, and curvy flowing markings
*Ballerina-type pose with twirling spiral aspects
*Short cropped hair
*long forearm gloves
*short tight costume

David also confirmed he drew this back in 1993...one year prior to Kabuki's 1st appearance in Fear the Reaper (1994).

I was fortunate to meet David on several occasions when he came to Hawaii cons...and this art piece is a great connector between us. He is a great artist and a great guy.
