X-Men Vs. Sentinels by John Byrne (2006)

Love the action and the way Byrne creates a scene with depth and layers.. moving your eye around the image. Congrats!

Mutants vs Machine...as the gods of story intended. Congrats on this panoramic piece! Only thing greater than large art is large X-Men art! It just fits like poetry! 

The Sentinels are my favorite opponents of the X-Men and I think that many of the X-Men's best storylines have revolved around those conflicts.  My inspiration from this piece was Mike Zeck's wraparound cover for X-Men Classics #1 (1983) and John Byrne really knocked it out of the park with his work on it!

The detail that John Byrne brought to his 20" x 30" pieces was really remarkable!  I recall that he joked that he should have charged by the window pane for the Fantastic Four Baxter Building commission.

Phenomenal and staggering in size!  It deserves to command attention with the inspired John Byrne work that encompasses the full battle.  Every line a work of passion to celebrate the X-Men legacy.

Whew!  Hard to top the OG X-men vs the the big bad boogeymen the Sentinels!  And by Byrne?!  Come on!  Great perspective choice and composition here, and of course the pure illustration is tops!  Congrats!
