Description

I just learned that the incredibly talented Martin Harris passed away late last year. He completed this Lunar New Year piece, "Year of the Ox," in 2021, and I told him I would be back for 2022 if he created a follow-up. I planned to reach out today, unaware that he was gone. Heartbreaking news.

Posting this piece today, the first day of the Lunar New Year, in memory of Martin. Rest easy, friend.

This is a special talent to make this look like some of those classic painted little golden book covers. The eyes can really capture the child in us and the softness it projects wants us to reach in and pet this little baby calf.
