Description
Another beautiful image by Kimberly Edgar. Edgar is a non-binary comics creator and artist based up in Dawson City in Canada's Yukon Territory.

A self described 'queer white settler', Kim is an artist, designer, cartoonist and illustrator. While their minutely observed illustration of the flora and fauna of the Yukon as flawlessly immaculate, their cartooning examines non-binary identity, autism, depression and chronic pain, with a clear honesty and psychological complexity. Their work often combines the two, with the rich natural world of the Northern American forests and tundra proving a kind of sublime that enables the characters to transcend the cares and pain of the body.

This image was chosen as one of series of banner images to be used for the 2023 Visit Yukon campaign.

Kimberly's work can be seen and admired at www.kimberlyedgar.com and www.theforagersclub.com. They are great talent, worth watching!

Looks really cool because there are leaves with rot on them giving this still life some meaningful life and death.
