DescriptionI've thoroughly enjoyed The Witcher series, which I admittedly started late. I had no idea there was so much history behind this franchise. So when I was commissioned to do a Witcher sketch based on the video game, imagine my surprise because I had not even heard of the game series. However, an artist can draw anything right? Anyway, etched on 11 x 14" Canson, we have the latest progress scan of said commission. Ciri has managed to overpower Geralt of Rivia with his own sword after a hard battle. Admittedly the armor on Geralt was the largest challenge given the chainmail pattern. However, I decided to take creative liberty and simplify the pattern and differentiate line thickness to convey depth. For Ciri, meanwhile, my original intention was to have two blades pinning Geralt down, but might do better with a dagger instead. I will have to reference Ciri's armaments to see if she has one to spare. I'm also learning from artist David Finch on hair design as well since both have white or platinum hair.
