Description

From one of the Alt-comics unsung greats, this is the unused, self portrait, cover from what would have been Crap #8 written, penciled and inked by J.R. Williams. After 7 issued the series got axed so the world was robbed. Check out his paintings and other comic art here.

HUGE J.R Williams fan and I agree he's one of the under=rated greats of "alternative" cartooning....in my opinion that short run of Crap comics (was this the last issue? If so gotta hit ebay, methinks, 1 to 7 have been in my sweaty grasp for a while now!) was as good as, if not better than, Bagge's Buddy Bradley stories at their PEAK...I dunno, I just think Mr. Williams had (has) a genuine artistic sensitivity that was for the most part lacking in Bagge's work, as great as it was...and I must say Mr. Williams is a very generous Fakebook correspondent who always has time for his fans (well, he always has time for ME, at any rate, but I'm sure he's like that with anyone who loves his work and asks intelligent questions or whatever!), I've had some great, long, P.M's/chats with him....seems like a very nice, sincere gentleman. And that makes me love his work even more! Yet again, another wonderful piece!

I've the pleasure to hang w/ JR a bit at conventions over the years and he is, for sure, a great guy. His current paintings are great too!

Ah, didn't read the description before I posted that last comment! Such a shame...in retrospect the scythe wielded by Milt seems kinda prophetic in the light of your revelation...you were right...we wuz ROBBED!!!
