DescriptionIn 1966, "The New Adventures of Superman" featured two Superman stories with a Superboy story in the middle. This specific episode was written by Mort Weisinger and aired October 15th 1966. Overall plot of the story is a billionaire vows to give away his fortune to charity if he can be made to laugh.Eighteen Superboy segments were produced this first season: - The Spy From Outer Space – Part 1 - The Spy From Outer Space – Part 2 - Krypto's Calamitous Capers - The Man Who Knew Superboy's Secret - The Deep Sea Dragon - Super Clown of Smallville - The Visitor from the Earth's Core - The Beast that went Berserk - Superboy's Strangest Foe - The Capricious Crony - Krypto, Super Seeing-Eye Dog - The Black Knight - Operation Counter Invasion - The Jinxed Circus - Hurricane Fighters - Superboy's Super-Dilemma - A Devil of a Time - The Revolt of Robotville HUGE THANKS to Marcus Wai for pointing me to a YouTube video of the short, (https://youtu.be/RaZ_3wA_0VM go to the 30 minute mark) as it illustrates how the cartoon comes together. Interesting how this only used one out of nine here as a heavy story edit to keep the story fast paced.

Agreed. I wondered how they would map the panel-to-seconds pacing since the cartoons are pretty consistent. There had to have been some early decisions so the money wasn't spent on unused animation. I also was fascinated by the lack of detail while still providing ENOUGH detail. For example, Pa Kent and Clark Kent are pretty much generic images. So did the person doing it not know what they looked like or not care?
