DescriptionCaptain's Log Stardate 202202.25. As you can see, I've made some leaps forward with the inking stage. I wanted to give Deanna's predicament that claustrophobic feeling, so I've increased the shadows leaning away from the torch she's holding. I also established a border around the imaage with a 08 LePens graphic ink pen. Admittedly I've been trying to improve my cross hatching through David Finch's video tutorials; they are extremely helpful and I highly recommend them. Anyway, my original intension was a thick line weight for the border so that I could envelop the edges in black, but that's not a realistic approach. The rubble under Deanna's feet are a bit of a challenge but I like to think I'm working through them. For Deanna herself, I'm holding off on rendering her until I get the background taken care of first. But I really feel like I've made some serious strides in progress.
