Description

During a previous Comic Art Live Sale Adam and Allison made 3 of these Captain America pieces available. It is 1/3rd of his published page he drew for the Captain America 80th Anniversary issue from Marvel. The issue was drawn by contemporary artists paying homage to key moments in Cap's History. Adam was tasked with drawing the first meeting of Cap and the Avengers after they found him defrosting from his icy hibernation. Adam decided to draw a six panel sequence on 3 separate pieces of paper. Two panels each on 15x20 pages, making each image noticeably larger than an average panel on a standard page! When I contacted Allison only this 2 panel segment was still available so I jumped on it! For a Huge Cap and Avengers fan this is a must have for me to have them drawn by Adam! Coincidently, my first con sketch by Adam back in 1990 was of Captain America, so it is interesting to see how his style has changed over the years!

Awesome piece with four key OG Avengers! Cap showing off his pommel horse scissors routine is impressive against Mjolnir's power and speed!

Splendid work by Adam Hughes' The Avengers look great here and I love how the action scene of Cap easily dodging Thor's hammer. Great pick-up!
