Wolverine vs Sentinel by Emil Cabaltierra HUGE!

After essentially doubling my collection (and spending waaaayyy too much) in 2021, I'm being more selective what I buy this year. Was holding strong until this came up on Duelin' Dealers. Tried to walk away but couldn't.

This is a huge, 17" x 33" pen & ink/wash from Emil Cabaltierra, completed in 2015. I hadn't heard of him before, as he's primarily know for his work on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which I never read. But I've since discovered he's an extremely prolific talent, building an impressive portfolio that includes a variety of Marvel characters.

Seeing the art in person, I was amazed by the scale and detail of this illustration. Love the composition and his technical skill with wash is astounding. And his originality - who would've imagined there was a human skull under the Sentinel armor? Maybe it was done before but I hadn't seen it. Can't wait to get this framed and on the wall.

I believe this was an unpublished commission but if anyone knows otherwise, please LMK.
