Description

I met Jim at San Diego 2006 he was set up in the artists alley. I got talking to him about some of the art he had for sale and how much I liked his inking. He had a beautiful Thor splash page with all spaceships and futuristic buildings laid out by John Buscema and Jim did the finished art and inks. I commented how it reminded me of some of Kirby's work and Jim was very flattered. He was selling it for a ridiculously low price, so I paid him tripled and I told him it was worth much more. He didn't argue. This is a favorite of mine, ya no Thor or people at all but some very cool spaceships and architecture. Jim did a great job inking it.

Lovely page from one of the greatest Marvel artists, and a lovely story to go with it. This is so much what CAF is for. Thanks for sharing.
