Description

Walt Kelly loved St. Patrick's Day (perhaps a bit too much, given his health issues) and this beautifully drawn daily features Pogo, Pup Dog, Molester Mole, Wiley Cat along with the hilarious bats who think they are joining a St. Patrick's Day parade. The whimsical nature of this daily and its punchline in the final panel is unfortunately tempered by the current Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Great St. Patrick's Day strip! The Ukranian joke probably wasn't random--Kelly's wife at the time, Stephanie, was of Ukranian heritage.
