Description

Through the stories and poems that make up this edition, Neil Gaiman immerses us in spatial and temporal labyrinths: space and time become malleable substances but never at the will of the characters or, of course, of the reader. The effect is somber, disturbing. The scene, unpredictable. From the dawn of time, through the dark reversal of classic tales such as Snow White, to becoming petrified in an eternal punishment inflicted by infernal beings, the beings that populate these stories pay homage to the trait of the sinister. Santiago Caruso decomposes shadows, enhances their nuances, plays with the bending of bodies in which a varied fauna nourishes the concept of the monstrous to leave us in front of the suggestive mirror of horror.
