For a second, I thought I had come to Ruben's gallery by mistake. Really nice piece. Not sure if I've ever seen a Grummett color piece. Love the trees of course. The WIP image is very interesting. Part of me wishes he had left it that way, with just WW colored. Anyway, nice pick up buddy!
Wonderfully soft and organic in color work. It shows Grummett's skills in color and it also shows he still wants the piece to tell a story first beyond just shocking us with flashy colors and anatomy.
those are some beautiful pencils on this piece
Like Ruben, I'm often not a big fan of Tom coloring his own art but the delicate muted colors really works well here.
To me, the coloring helps give the piece the feel that I'm looking at the depiction of an Ancient Greek myth. Very nice!
Wow! Wow! Wow! What a gorgeous Wonder Woman commission by Tom Grummett! I love this almost-mythological scene in which Diana is hiding from a giant Cyclops that has her scent but can't find her. I love the way she's hidden behind the trees and is reaching back into her quiver to draw an arrow to take the giant down! I love the soft, muted tones of the color palette Tom has used here, it makes the piece look like an illustration from an old children's book. Nice that the only black is on Diana's hair, which draws the eye to the otherwise hidden Amazon. Fabulous commission, congrats!
