Description

I have met Michael Lark a few times and it was really interesting to hear him speak about the evolution of his work. A lot of his self study and practice before and during Gotham Central started in libraries, where he would reference architecture and anatomy in books. A lot of time was spent at the copy machine.

He is so consistently good throughout this book. Locations like the the GCPD office would be plotted out in advance, and drawn from different corners so that he knew where everything was.

Both this and the referencing really helps to push the art towards a photographic like representation of what is going on.
