Classic Silvestri! What a memorable run he had on X-Men. COngrats on a great page
Silverstri was truly on one back then. Never got to read these issues but loved his mastery with the pencil no less. Congrats!
I enjoyed those mix of stories post siege perilous. Great page!
I remember the visuals of this page, but don't remember the story at all. However, you sure make it sound like something that would be right up my alley. I loved Star 80 ever since it came out when I was a kid (Ah, the good ol' days when an 11 year old could watch something probably rated 18+ on tv with their parents), so if this story is similar to that, I may just have to give it a re-read!
Intense page!
Really like Dan's interpretation of Marc's pencils here. Especially on the five close-up panels. What was really cool is that when I clicked to leave this comment, and the thumbnail came up next to the comment box, seeing it from a distance was even more powerful. Very dramatic end page from an acclaimed art run. Congrats buddy!
It looks like the guy got years of cable news pulled out of him and he could think for himself now. Very powerful imagery by Silvestri and Green.
Silvestri was great but like I said, they didn't give him the best toys to play with. Wolverine, Storm, Rogue, and some interns. I love dazzler but she's more popular from the arcade game than the comics. Glad we inspired you to post a page. Jason will drool over this.
Marc was and is still one of the very best!
That's a nice page from a great run.
I too am very fond of that era's X-Men. Great, thought provoking stories, somewhat different from standard super hero fare. Great example
Love seeing that show bring out these hidden gems! Silvestri is an all-timer and it's aweosme you dusted this off for the rest of us to enjoy as well!
You have a way of landing powerful + poignant pieces, my friend!
Fabulous page! I, too, loved Silvestri's run on Uncanny X-Men. He had a style that suited the team well. And I loved Dan Green's inks over Silvestri's pencils. They made an amazing team!
SUCH a POWERFUL page!!! It made a strong impact on me when I read it so many years ago and it's a thrill to see the OA now! Congrats and thanks for sharing!
Brutal persuasion.
